Despite over four years of volunteer effort, a Canadian national health profession client was in danger of not meeting key deadlines in the creation and approval of various policy documents to support their work.
Pathfinder staff worked closely with senior volunteers to map out a work plan with clear goals and deliverables, and then supported volunteers with a dedicated staff member throughout the policy development and implementation stages. A Pathfinder staff member did the majority of the research, writing and editing.
Pathfinder provided documented accreditation policies and processes in less than 12 months. Volunteers could focus their talents where they could best be used – as subject matter experts in the profession, and as the final arbiters of policy.
